The last weekend of April was one of the biggest in our girlie history!  Another two bite the dust.

Tantalus

Tantalus

First, we had the JT engagement!  What an ordeal that was.  Who goes to Tantalus, mid day, dressed up!  I didn’t think we would have a problem since the future Mrs. JT always dresses fancy schmancy.  But we got the text saying she was wearing shorts!  Shorts!  That’s a no, no.  So we had to work some magic and rationalize why we should dress up (Thanks, Annie for being our scapegoat).  After killing a lot of time, we finally arrived at Tantalus where Mr. JT got on one knee, professed his love and proposed in front of family, friends and the doggie!  “Professed his love” is a bit misleading, his speech went more like this, “it’s been 10 years, so let’s get married.”  Her answer after a LONG pause was, “okay then!”  I suppose that’s the answer you get after a speech like that.  They’re a match made in heaven haha.  Kudos to Ally for planning and getting us all together, but more importantly, thanks for the bubbly!  Congratulations JTs!

She said .... "OKAY" They're officially engaged after 10 years!

She said …. “OKAY”
They’re officially engaged after 10 years!

A couple of days later, we were having a farewell dinner for Annie and Kevin, when *boom* Annie busts out a lock on her ring finger!  Apparently, they went hiking earlier that day to one of their favorite spots on the island – Makapuu Lighthouse!  Kevin’s plan was to propose to Annie and seal the deal with the lock on the fence (it’s a popular thing now – e.g. lock love bridge), but little did he know – they renovated and changed the fences up there!  In the end, it all worked out because Annie got to keep the lock.  Don’t worry, her ring is on its way – a family heirloom.  Congratulations to the future, Mr & Mrs. W!

Two Engagements in One Weekend!
