This past week was a whirlwind of non-stop late night outs!  For this grandma who always sleeps by 10pm, it was quite a task, but finally Friday has arrived and I think it’s safe to say, I survived the week.  As tired as I may have been, as busy as I should have been doing wedding things, it was all on hold and I must say it was worth it!  Prioritize good friends!

My group of high school friends are the best ever.  Now that we’re grown up though, it is hard to get everyone together (unless it’s a birthday), but this past week, we hung out 4 nights in a row – all in honor of our long lost friend, Erika, who hasn’t visited in over nine years!  You would think things have changed, but we picked up right where we left off and that is the beauty of our friendship.  No matter how much time passes, we have a connection that can never be broken.

Monday night we got together for dinner.  On the menu we had mochiko fish, salad, chili, noodles, sushi and dessert.  We also probably had more wine than we needed – let’s just say we dominated 6 bottles of wine amongst 7 girls.  We spent the night catching up, laughing so hard our cheeks hurt and attempting to recreate an old photo of us all.

Tuesday night we got together again for dinner at Gyu-Kaku.  Not everyone made it this time, but there were still 4 out of the 7 of us.  We grilled food, drank and talked stories!

Wednesday night we got together yet again for “Wine Down Wednesdays” at the driving range.  Everyone made it, although some were very late.  If you know our group, we’re always late.  We drank wine, hit balls and talked stories until the lights went out!

Reunited after 9 years!

Thursday night we got together for the fourth and final time at Pint + Jigger.  This was amazing because we were all together and moreover, we had our significant others with us as well.  This has never happened before.  Most times we don’t invite the boyfriends; we just leave them at home haha.  Needless to say, it was a special moment.  We said our goodbyes and among the laughs, there were some tears.  Time really does fly when you’re having fun. We concluded that the next visit will definitely be before nine years!

The significant others; a rare occasion to have them all together!

I’m noting this week (3/4-3/8) as the best week so far this year.

Priorities in life: surround myself with friends who make me laugh and smile.
