Dear avid fans of mine (really that just means you, Aunty!) … I apologize for slacking and not posting anything lately.  I have much to catch up on – Christmas, New Years and of course we can’t forget about Luna girl!

2016!

2016!

First of all, Happy New Year!!!!  I can’t believe it’s already 2016!  To be honest, I was wishing it would stay away for a while because 2016 means the inevitable turning of a new age for me…. thirty-two.  OMG I’m going to be 32 soon!  On the bright side, I declared this as my birthday month (it’s not about celebrating just one day, but rather the whole month haha); this way I can boss the Mr. around and ask him to buy me little gifts here and there!  I already got my first gift, which was an app called “1 Second Everyday“; we will both take one second videos each day and merge it all together at the end of the year!  It’s really quite cool;  the only problem is I am running out of space on my phone!  So every time I try to take a video, I get a pesky message saying, “out of space” GRRRR!  The other thing I made him buy me was a tryptic canvas (ok, I didn’t really know what tryptic was, but brainiac, Matty, knew and was so proud of himself that I have to give kudos)!  I hope to get back into painting this year, especially since my parents gave me a nice little art set for Christmas!

Pooped!

Pooped!

Speaking of Christmas, I suppose we should recap those events!  It was the usual eve and day festivities: dinner on Matt’s dads side, breakfast on my side, dinner at Matt’s moms side!  Phew what a hectic time (as you can see from the photo above, we were pooped), but anything for yummy food and gifts; I mean, anything for family ;)  We received a lot of wonderful gifts such as Nutri Ninja (I really love this and have been making smoothies every day!), shiatsu massager (the Mr. must think I need to distress), a cardigan (since I lost my other one, don’t ask me how I did that) and many many other gifts!  Thank you to our family and friends for being so thoughtful!  Luna received some gifts as well – of which she opened and destroyed in less than 15 minutes =\  Christmas reminds me of a wedding… you spend a lot of time preparing, setting up lights and Christmas decor, buying gifts, making a card to send to family and friends, etc – and then in one day it’s over and done with!  It’s kind of crazy to me!

Waiting patiently for Santa to come!

Waiting patiently for Santa to come!

But, on to New Years!   Similar to Christmas, we go all over the place.  We went to Matt’s moms side on the eve, Matt’s parents house by midnight to pop fireworks and cheers to the New Year and then to my Mom’s house bright and early in the morning for traditional ozoni soup!  After that we had to prepare for the huge party at Matt’s parents house!  The only difference this year was we didn’t go to Matt’s dad’s side on the eve, due to the unfortunate passing of Matt’s grandpa and grandma (whom by the way, grandpa was 100 years old and grandma 94!  Needless to say, they both lived a long, happy life and are now reunited and together they’re watching over all the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren).  As I write this, I’m still thinking of my New Years resolution(s), so I’ll get back to you on that later!  At any rate, I wish everyone a happy 2016; may you all be filled with happiness, good health and prosperity!

Adieu 2015 & Hello 2016!
