There are so many invitations to choose from; it is quite overwhelming. From picking the colors, paper type, font, paper weight, monograms, belly bands, verbiage, map, RSVP, jewels, pocket fold, tri-fold and so on and so on — it’s so much to think about! Especially when you have a budget you are trying to keep.  *phew* just saying all of that was a mouthful…

But the process became a lot easier with the help and direction of our designer, Digital Life Hawaii, as well as my smarty pants fiancer!  Our invitation has 3 parts – invite, RSVP and map. I wanted a pocket fold to keep the map and RSVP separate, but there is the issue of keeping the weight less than 13 ounces so it can still be mailed as first class.  Pretty much all invites with a pocket fold are too heavy to be classified as “first class letter.”  Matt, the genius engineer, came up with a new idea for our pocket fold and together we have created a beautiful, cheerful invitation that stays within the first class mailing restrictions!
