So much has been happening recently (welcoming the first baby in our group, selling the condo, friends’ weddings and more) but I just haven’t had time to sit down and blog about it! I must make time though, so here I am during my lunch break, typing away!  Hmmmmm….. which to start with first?!?!?!

The condo!

Our home from 2009 to 2014!  We made so many wonderful memories there!

  • It was our first place together
  • Our first time ever having the police knock on our door (darn neighbors filed a noise complaint and it was not even 10 pm!)
  • It’s where the Mr. proposed
  • We had Dexter marathons with my friends
  • and so much more!

It was a great starter home for us.  But, I knew when my parents and I first bought it that it was only temporary. I had bigger plans down the road to obtain a house once we saved up enough money.  I wanted the white picket fence, yard, dogs and the whole nine yards!  In 2014, we were finally able to buy our first single family home!  Boy was that a roller coaster ride but with a sweet ending!

We held on to the condo for another 2 years so we could fix it up before selling it.  Good ol dad was the one who did all the renovations himself!  He truly is a master handy man, even if it takes him years to finish a project!  The end result is always worth the wait (mom may say otherwise though hehe) ;)

While I’m extremely happy and grateful that the condo is sold, it is still bittersweet.  After 5 years of living there and as much time and effort that my dad put into fixing it up, it really became a piece of me!  None the less, on Friday September 2nd, we officially bid adieu to the condo!  We wish the new owners, whom I nicknamed “Queenie,” all the joy and happiness as they start their new life in a lovely condo!

With the condo being sold, there was only one thing left to do….. CELEBRATE!  The Mr. and I went all out – with a fancy feast at Morimoto’s!  We ordered appetizers, salad, sushi, main entrée, dessert and coffee! The best part was – all that only cost us $40 because we had a gift card!   Now that’s WINNING!
